The Certification Manager (CM) is central to the program’s adherence to NCCA guidelines, and as such, works closely with all certification staff members, the Certification Chair, the test administration company, the bookkeeper and any other professional needed to support certification activity. The CM also works directly with certificants and the general public on any questions or issues related to the Certification Program. The CM is held accountable for strict adherence to the Certification Program’s policies and procedures, as prescribed by the Certification Chair.
Ray orchestrated the initial accreditation of the Certification Program and continues to work with the Certification Commission on the maintenance of the program’s accreditation, continued growth, and development within the larger fitness industry. In 2015, Ray was awarded the Institute for Credentialing Excellence’s 2015 Credentialing Industry Leadership Award. In February 2016, Ray earned a certificate as Credentialing Specialist from the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (ICE). Ray holds an MA in Liberal Studies, and a BA in English. In his free time, he enjoys working out regularly and spending time with close friends and his adopted canine daughters, Mia and Penelope.
The Certification Coordinator (CC) advises candidates on procedures, dates, testing locations, forms, and any and all other relevant information regarding the process of certification and renewal of certification. The CC is responsible for whatever changes are required in the advancement of procedures, website upgrades, internal communication, and any other responsibility directly related to the growth of the Certification Program. Originally from Brazil, Robson joined the Pilates Method Alliance in March of 2018 in order to support the Certification Program. Advertising, branding and marketing are among his areas of expertise. In his spare time, he likes traveling, watching horror movies, sports, and attending art exhibitions.
Continuing Education Specialist
The Continuing Education Specialist (CES) is responsible for the approval of all continuing education presenters, providers, workshops, and petitions related to the maintenance of the NCPT credential. The CES also works in the processing of certification renewal applications, as well as serving as liaison with CEC providers and certificants. Laurie came to the Pilates Method Alliance as the Continuing Education Specialist after having studied Pilates for many years. She has been teaching Pilates since 2011. She has also been a professional in the field of contemporary art for the past twenty years, working with numerous local as well as international art museums, institutions and foundations. She speaks English, Spanish and French, and travels as often as she can.
