Pilates Comprehensive Exam Application

Candidates that pass the National Pilates Certification Exam are awarded the title of
Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT).

* Passing score: 78 out of a 100 scored

* Online, remote live proctored (home or office) - required technology compatibility verification before test day

Exam fee: $300
($405 outside the US and Canada)
Fees are nonrefundable
 
Remote testing reminder: The home or office option is still proctored. Candidates must follow testing company guidelines. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure equipment compatibility and complete system checks prior to test day, as the registration fee is nonrefundable.

What You Need Before Applying

Applications are completed online.
Apply when you are ready to test.
Eligibility lasts 90 days from application submission.
Legal Name + ID
Enter complete legal name exactly as shown on current official documents. Acceptable IDs in the Latin alphabet include state issued driver’s license, state issued identification card, government issued passport, passport card, green card, alien registration, permanent resident card, national identification card, and military ID.
Address
Complete address: with city, state or province, and postal code.
School or Mentor Contact
School or mentor contact name and email address that provided Pilates training.
Important: Use a desktop computer or laptop at all times. Accessing the application from a mobile device or tablet may cause connectivity issues with payment, scheduling, and testing.

Submission + Scheduling

Complete payment to submit your application. 
Step 2
Application status is emailed within 24hrs of submission.
Step 3
Choose between going to a testing center or taking the exam online, remote live proctored.
Approved candidates will receive a link via email to schedule their exam. Make sure to check junk or spam folders. Candidates may schedule their exam at a later date, but testing must be completed within 90 days of application submission. After scheduling an exam date, candidates will receive an email confirmation that contains the test date, time, and site address, and directions (if applicable).

Please note that no exceptions will be made for these situations, and the exam will be recorded as a missed attempt.

Reasonable Accommodations

Reasonable accommodations are provided for candidates who have any sort of impairment (e.g., walking, talking, hearing, reading, performing manual tasks, etc.).

To apply for reasonable accommodations, the candidate must submit documentation provided within the past 12 months by a medical professional on the professional’s letterhead. The documentation must reference a diagnosis of the disability and specific recommendations for accommodations. Reasonable accommodations are considered based on the candidate’s request, disability, documentation submitted, and appropriateness of the request.

Reasonable accommodations do not include steps that fundamentally alter the purpose or nature of the exam.

Our Test Administration Company

Meazure Learning is the test administration company that administers all examinations for the NPCP on the ProctorU platform. It provides psychometric consultation, test administration, test scoring, score reporting, and annual exam analysis.

Eligibility Extension Policy 

Candidates whose scheduling eligibility has lapsed may request an extension of up to 45 days, granted on a case-by-case basis and subject to a $20 administrative fee.
Candidates who do not schedule their exam within this period will be marked ad ABSENT and will require to submit a new retake application.
